Lord,
Today I come before Your throne of grace and confess that over the course of my life I have selfishly used my hands in ways that bring you shame. Father, I ask for your forgiveness. Holy Spirit, please guide my hands so they will lift others up and point to you. Amen.

I have just been nominated for the Meanest Mom of the Year award.

I am so proud.

I would like to thank God,
my wonderfully supportive husband,
my parents who raised me to be this way,
and of course, my four darling children for I couldn't have done this without them!

Then entered Sin, and with that sycamore
Whose leaves first sheltered man from drought and dew,
Working and winding slily evermore,
The inwards walls and summers cleft and tore;
But Grace shored these, and cut that as it grew.

Then Sin combined with death in a firm band,
To raze the building to the very floor;
Which they effected,--none could them withstand;
But Love and Grace took Glory by the hand,
And built a braver palace than before.
